SHOP GRADE
- Shop Grade veneer will yield an 85% plus useable panel.
Panels down graded to Shop Grade are because of "sand throughs"
in face veneers or veneers not covering the full length or
width of the panel. De-lamination in not more than 15%
of the panel is allowed in the Shop Grade. |

IMPORT PLYWOOD FACE VENEER GRADES |

FD
GRADE - Free-Of-Defect Grade. Very similar to an ANSI
"A" Grade. |

BB GRADE - Allows slight
mineral stain, small pin knots and is similar to an ANSI "B" Grade
and "C" Grade in combination. |

CC
GRADE - Allows mineral stain, more burls and pin knots than
"BB" Grade and filled/repaired veneer splits. Similar to the
ANSI "D" Grade. |

NOTE:
Generally the "BB" and "CC" Grades are combined and sold as
BB/CC. |

OVERLAY AND BETTER GRADE - All repairs must be filled and
sanded. This is a sound grade. |

INDUSTRIAL GRADE - This grade allows open defects such as
splits and gaps at veneer joint. |

RUSSIAN BIRCH VENEER GRADES |

B/BB
Grade: B face is one piece and seldom is patched. |
|

BB/BB Grade: Uniform light sanded both faces.
Allows patched face and backs |
|
 |
BB/CP
Grade: BB face is the same as above. CP back
allows small open defects |

NOTE:
"Patched" means face and back may have oval or football shaped
wood repairs. |
