An Added Value: Profile Sanded, Primed and Prefinished Hardwood Mouldings

The #1 most important step to any finishing operation is the quality of the

pre-sanding. The problem is knowing on the front end the true cost of

sanding moulded profiles to meet the AWI Premium Grade requirement of no knife marks.

Hogan Hardwoods & Moulding now offers AWI Premium Grade profile sanding of our custom or stock moulding profiles. This profile sanding does not change the profile of the moulding. Plus, you know from the beginning the true cost of profile-sanded custom mouldings that are ready to prime, paint or finish.

Because Hogan offers primed and prefinished hardwood mouldings, you no longer have to worry with the cost of finishing operations or complying with code regulations and restrictions. By using U.V. (ultra violet) curing on the majority of projects going through the finishing operation, we are able to complete certain time-sensitive projects well within a rushed time frame.

We know U.V. is not for every project. The object available to achieve the color, build and sheen include wash coats, sap stains, equalizers, toners, wipe stains (conventional and U.V.) clear U.V. spray, catalyzed lacquers, varnishes, water based stains and top coats. Our mixing lab technicians have more that 30 years experience at color mixing and matching—they can match control sample for color and sheen.

For paint grade applications, Hogan offers profile-sanding and priming using a universal primer made with approximately 70% solids. Also, the universal primer can be tinted to match the top coat color. Top coats are available in a wide color range to match exactly your color choice.
